We have released a new version of the core client for all platforms, this should fix the various issues with the Win9x platform.

NOTE: If you are using a Win9x machine, please upgrade to this release as soon as possible.

==========
No, it is for all platforms which includes WinXP, etc.
There has been quite a bit of discussion on the change in Benchmark results in the newer 4.09v being lower. I installed it on all of my systems and it has been running for several hours without any problems. The benchmarks were 18.8% lower on the Whetstone but were almost the same on the Dhrystone.

Just remember that the benchmark numbers it shows you don't affect actual performance. So while the actual numbers may be lower, (which makes the estimated time higher) you will still process at the same speed you did prior to 4.09.

That is absolutely correct. In fact the times are almost identical based on the 20 wu's that I have completed since the update to v4.09. The other problem that I have been seeing, as are many others, is those quick wu's that complete in under 10 minutes. I was getting a couple of these a day with 4.05 but who knows what the cause may be. So far I have not had any with the update.

But, what about the dial-up modem problem? Has this been "fixed" in v4.09? Anybody?
