suspending network activity doesnt seams to work its suspended and its stil downloading ! i have put it to active then to suspend agein the download was stoping just to start 10sec later agein regardles of suspended network ! i am on dialup and playing some times online games wich are barely playabel whit my connection if boinc start to download something in such a case i can forget the game ! i can remember on a sort of WU server app where i coud download WUs and the clients was geting them then from the app instead of the seti server !? |

Have you upgraded to the latest version of the BOINC client? Perhaps there's an issue with that. I've never had a problem suspending network. If BOINC's mid-download, it terminates and waits and any other pending downloads just sit there too. Might be worth firewalling BOINC when you're playing to avoid losing your precious bandwidth. Not come across any problems with this myself, so can't help further ... sorry! Cheers, Steve. |

I have been having the same problem for a while now. I suspend network activity, then about 2 seconds later it says "Resuming network activity", and goes along its merry way. The menu entry still has the little dot by "Network Activity Suspended", but it is wrong. I Metath is using Chrunch3r's 6.1.0 could that be causing the problem? |
