If it was a Seti-Classic account that never crunched using Boinc then see the home page - Special instructions:
For SETI@home Classic participants
At the bottom of the page - If you're already using BOINC section. You can Claim your SETI@home Classic workunits.

If the account was used to crunch with Boinc then
Go to your account page and log out of this account.
On the home page go to Your account. Click on forgot password, enter the email address for the old account and OK. An Authenticator key link will be email to the account. You can then go to the account and set a password. You will then need to detach Boinc from your present account and reattach to the project using the old account.

If you don't have access to the old account email address then you are out of luck.
Also merging two Boinc accounts is not allowed.
