Hello,

I started a fresh and clean boinc setup, but it seems there is problem when downloading setiathome-5.28.x86_64-pc-linux-gnu :
2007-12-13 15:33:03 [SETI@home] Started download of setiathome-5.28.x86_64-pc-linux-gnu
and it seems not doing any more...
netstats shows an established connection :
tcp 0 0 banquise:55368 boinc2.SSL.Berkele:http ESTABLISHED 8072/boinc_client

Any idea to fix that?

Why do it need to download setiathome-5.28.x86_64-pc-linux-gnu as it is already here (installed by a package) ?

Thanks,

Panard

I you have installed the package manual, it could be, that the app_info.xml in the projects directory would no been found.
Can you do a reset project and retry it again.

The fact was my distibution installed an old setiathome version (4.18), so I guess that's why boinc tried to download latest version (but without success).
I installed a recent version of boinc and setiathome and all is working now.

Thx.

Yeah, I would not recommend using the seti@home application from portage - or any other package system for that matter. I'm still using the old version of boinc that is in portage but I let it download the project applications itself or use the optimized ones (for seti) from http://lunatics.kwsn.net
