Hey, where is seti getting the "hostname" from? Seti is showing no hostname on my account page for one of my boxes... i'm using the actual boinc |

/etc/hosts If you're using DHCP, try: /etc/sysconfig/networking/profiles/default/if-cfg0 and look for: DHCP_HOSTNAME=mycomputer |

Hey, I'm using PCLinuxOS (PCLOS). in etc/hosts (hosts is the actual file name), I have this line: 127.0.0.1 pclos localhost.pclos and "pclos" shows up as the computer name when accessing the seti site..j |

heh. ty. fixed it. it was because my servers use dns first, then files. changing that helped. (now it's using the /etc/hosts first) |
