Hi. I'm a newbie and I've been running SETI files for the past couple days and its been a blast being able to contribute processing time to assist SETI.

I have haphazardly ventured out to look into other BOINC managed projects and managed to attach to one other than SETI. I see that it has lined up a new type of file for me to process after I complete the current SETI file. (Whoo-Hoo! Exciting!)

My question is: Will BOINC start to alternate files between SETI and my new elected project or do I have to manually "attach" my computer back to SETI to start processing SETI files again?

'Just not quite sure how it works. Thanks for your help.

BOINC will take care of all the task management for you. There may be times where it doesn't seem to, but it all balances out in the end if you leave everything alone. ;-)

I was attempting to process files for Rosetta but every time I came by to check on its progress, my computer seemed to have crashed and was in a start up position ready to reboot. I finally unattached from the project.

Has anyone else had an issue like this with Rosetta or any other project?

I crunch for Rosetta too, but I have not run into this issue myself.

Neither do I, but I don't run Darwin either.

Have you tried asking the question over at Rosetta?
