Many people have been waiting and hoping for a cancer cure for years and now it may just be closer to becoming a reality. According to researchers at Wake Forest University School of Medicine:

White Blood Cells From Cancer-resistant Mice Cure Cancers In Ordinary Mice

May 9, 2006

"Even highly aggressive forms of malignancy with extremely large tumors were eradicated," Zheng Cui, M.D., Ph.D., and colleagues reported in this week's on-line edition of Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

The transplanted white blood cells not only killed existing cancers, but also protected normal mice from what should have been lethal doses of highly aggressive new cancers. Continued

Do you know how many doctors, researchers, research labs, pharmaceuticals companies, advertisers, fund raisers, and every thing else related to the multi-billion cancer industry would suffer or go out of business if this were true??

This is too big a business to end cancer....

Anyone know where we can find a Cancer-resistant human to get white blood cells from?

Well, I would be guessing, but if it were true and there was a high cure rate for many cancers, it would definately be a considerable amount.

You may be in luck. Check out the video links too.

'Cancer-resistant' people lend out their killer cells

Immune cells from "cancer-resistant" people are to be injected into those with cancer to help fight the disease.....

Willow bark extract (BNO1455) and its fractions suppress growth and induce apoptosis in human colon and lung cancer cells

This is a bit surprising to me. I've been taking willow bark extract for a few weeks now for occasional mild neck pain. If you're wondering what willow bark has to do with pain relief I'll give a little history on it. Willow extracts have been used for relieving pain for many centuries. It contains something called salicin, the precursor of the synthetic drug aspirin. Salicin from willow bark extract seems to have fewer side effects than aspirin. Although anyone that's allergic to aspirin would want to absolutely avoid willow and other plants containing salicin.

Possible anti-cancer abilities of the agaricus blazei mushroom. Some links:

Agaritine purified from Agaricus blazei Murrill exerts anti-tumor activity against leukemic cells

Natural killer cell activity and quality of life were improved by consumption of a mushroom extract, Agaricus blazei Murill Kyowa, in gynecological cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy

NOTICE: There have been a few reports of liver damage in patients that were taking high doses of agaricus during chemotherapy.

Rich in alpha-glucans, AHCC (Active Hexose Correlated Compound) is a well-known Japanese supplement that may help increase the amount of dendritic cells, increase NK (natural killer) cell activity and possibly enhance macrophage and T-cell activity. Dosages may range from a few hundred milligrams a day up to 6 grams a day. AHCC has been around for a long time and is generally considered to be safe. While AHCC has been around for a long time and is generally considered to be safe, appropriate dosage may depend on different factors like age and possible health conditions.

EDIT: The second link doesn't appear to be working for some reason so I'll provide a link to the entire research paper. It's rather large.

Anyone heard of baker's yeast (Saccharomyces cerevisiae)? It seems to be a more less known but potentially beneficial beta-glucan source with some research behind it.

Beta Glucan Research

A product with this extract is being sold as EpiCor. Here's a news report about it from NBC 13 Des Moines in Iowa : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XCpK4vhtAlY

It's called IP6 (inositol hexaphosphate). There is substantial scientific research showing that IP6 has powerful anti-cancer abilities.

Read this first: Role of iron in tumor cell protection from the pro-apoptotic effect of nitric oxide

The research on IP6:

1. Chemopreventive efficacy of inositol hexaphosphate against prostate tumor growth and progression in TRAMP mice

2. The influence of phytic acid on TNF-alpha and its receptors genes' expression in colon cancer Caco-2 cells

3. Molecular mechanism of inositol hexaphosphate-mediated apoptosis in human malignant glioblastoma T98G cells

4. Effect of inositol hexaphosphate on the development of UVB-induced skin tumors in SKH1 hairless mice

5. Inositol hexaphosphate suppresses growth and induces apoptosis in prostate carcinoma cells in culture and nude mouse xenograft: PI3K-Akt pathway as potential target

6. Dietary influence on pancreatic cancer growth by catechin and inositol hexaphosphate

7. Protection against cancer by dietary IP6 and inositol

8. Inositol hexaphosphate represses telomerase activity and translocates TERT from the nucleus in mouse and human prostate cancer cells via the deactivation of Akt and PKCalpha

9. Inositol hexaphosphate (IP6) inhibits cellular proliferation in melanoma

10. Prostate cancer and inositol hexaphosphate: efficacy and mechanisms

11. Dietary administration of inositol and/or inositol-6-phosphate prevents chemically-induced rat hepatocarcinogenesis

12. Inositol hexaphosphate inhibits growth and induces G1 arrest and apoptotic death of androgen-dependent human prostate carcinoma LNCaP cells

13. Anti-angiogenic activity of inositol hexaphosphate (IP6)

14. In vivo suppression of hormone-refractory prostate cancer growth by inositol hexaphosphate: induction of insulin-like growth factor binding protein-3 and inhibition of vascular endothelial growth factor

15. Inositol hexaphosphate inhibits constitutive activation of NF- kappa B in androgen-independent human prostate carcinoma DU145 cells

16. Inositol hexaphosphate (IP6) inhibits key events of cancer metastasis: II. Effects on integrins and focal adhesions

17. Suppression of DMBA-induced mouse skin tumor development by inositol hexaphosphate and its mode of action

Okay bye!
