I hope that the name of the folder does not mean that you are intending to run a 2.2B client??

I can't advise on the command, but please don't install 2.2B apps, they are obsolete. Instead go to Crunch3r's SETI page and get a current version.

The problem is primarily that 2.2B has the old 3.35 multiplier so claims too much credit.

2.2B Chicken apps use the old (pre-MB) multiplier and overclaim credits. I would suggest visiting Crunch3r's site and selecting the best for your machine(s).

The last time I tried, the 2.4V AMD SSE2 app was compiled with xN instead of xW. I don't know if that is still the case, but I do remember noticing a slight performance decrease on my Athlon64 3700+ (San Diego). xN compiles with Pentium 4 and Pentium M optimizations, while xW just goes for Pentium 4 (SSE/SSE2). Most documentation states to use xW for non-Intel compatibility.

FWIW and YMMV, etc, etc, etc...

In the terminal window type sudo nautilus. This will open your directory with super user privileges. Then just copy and paste the files in the the folder you need them in and restart Boinc.

And SSE3, according to the Intel® Celeron® D Processor Information Page. If you're running 64 bit Linux, 2.4L Linux 64 SSE3 INTEL is indicated. Otherwise use 2.4L Linux x32 SSE3 Intel.
