For instance, if i'm out of internet coverage, but ready to compute. How can I get a lot of tasks for that time? |

At the top of this webpage, click on Account -> General Preferences -> Network Usage -> Maintain enough work for an additional X days. Increase that setting to however many days your internet is going to be unavailable. For instance, if it's only going to be a day, cache enough work for 1 day. I wouldn't recommend over-caching as that could cause BOINC to go into EDF (sort of a "panic" mode). Save your preferences. The next time your computer contacts the SETI servers, it will download these new preferences and start using them right away. |

Rather than using extra work, you should use Connect every X if the internet is going to be disconnected. This way the CPU scheduler has some hope of getting tasks finished early enough to be reported on time. BOINC WIKI |
