would some one please remind me where the installation instructions are located for seti-enhanced-i386-coreduo-v8. There is nothing in the download about this. ok finally dug it out me self: after copying the downloaded files into /Library/Applications Support/BOINC Data/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu you then need to follow this: Sep 14, 2007 , 09:26 PM It's not Rosetta...it's probably a permissions or ownership problem. To fix a permission problem, after installing Alex Kan's optimized apps: In Terminal, cd ~Library/"Application Support"/"BOINC Data"/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu Type chmod 755 seti_enhanced* Quit Terminal Try running the app again. If it doesn't work, try fixing the ownership: sudo chown boinc_master:boinc_project /Library/"Application Support"/"BOINC Data"/projects/setiathome.berkeley.edu/* QS note instructions editied by W. Davis to supply quotes around Application Support and BOINC Data |

To fix a permission problem, after installing Alex Kan's optimized apps: This can also usually be fixed with the Finder: just select the S@h project folder, once you’ve copied the app &c. into it and then Get Info (command-i); expand the ownership-&-permissions area and click the “Apply to enclosed items†button. |
