Last night I left my computer on also running boinc. this morning, only 1 task is running, and 3 other tasks are in state "waiting to run". ried pressing suspend + resume for those tasks, but they don't start. the messages window doesn't show any errors ... ?

Hmmm, I see you're using Linux and have 4 Gigs of ram. Is your boinc manager set to "run always", or "run based upon prefs"? (under "activity" file menu of the boinc manager). Also Check to make sure which ever your using or preferably both are set to use use atleast 2 processors in the setting "use at most X processors".

Based on prefs - which are on all projects 100% cpu, 2 processors.
Some hours later I noticed that BOINC continued as expected: 2 tasks running. But it took several hours until the second task switched to running again. strange ... :-/

Could be memory settings. It will pause a task if settings don't allow enough % memory to be used.
