Is there such a thing? I'm thinking of a banner or link that would take people to a signup that would automatically put them into the team of the person they got the link from.

Team banners, also known as Team Recruitment advertising is only allowed in the Team Recruitment forum (since many users find this stuff annoying).

I don't know of any links that would put someone into a team automatically after signup. I'd be worried about savvy programmers writing malware that automatically installs BOINC on some computers and then signs them up for a team right after that.
