Hello all! Have been with you guys for ONE MONTH now! Question: I have 10 work units still pending, some from as early as September 12. How long should these take to post?
Thanks!

Scott those will post when someone returns a confirmation on the unit... sometimes you'll get the confirmation sent to someone who will lose the machine or quick the project, so it may have to take two (or more) passes to get credit.

Not to worry, once someone does crunch those you will get credit. Usually it doesn't take that long, but it can. I'm sure others will go into much more detail, but suffice it to say it's nothing out of the ordinary. I have some WUs that have been pending since late August.

could you say which machine those are from? I'm too lazy to search every machine for them. LOL

Even handier would be to post a link to the WU in question. To do so, click on "your account", "computers-view" selected the computerID of the computer in question, then on the number of wus (64 for example), then click on the "WUID" of the particular wu. Then copy and post the contents of the address bar to your reply. Then add URL tags (opening/closing) to the address. It'll look like [Zurl=http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=162625590]enter some text here[/Zurl]. I placed a "Z" at the start of each tag so the text would display, if I get rid of them it looks like this link enter some text here.

One thing for sure the one with "client error-compute error", and "Client error- done", you'll not be getting credit for.

I'll have a look when you get some links

tony

PS you can find out more fun things to do with BBCode here. Like the use of Color.

First: Give us the URL, and be sure to format it like this*, so we can easily look in for you.

Second: Let's look at this one:

http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/workunit.php?wuid=156617603

Your wing man is not due to report until November 8th. So, to answer your original question, it may take as long as Nov. 8th to get his answer back. Usually not nearly that long. If it matches yours, you get credit. If not, the task will be reissued to another machine. If it matches yours, you then get credit. If it matches his, you get nothing. If it matches neither, a fourth task gets issued. And so on.

Then there is the whole strong/weak matching... But don't worry about that for now.

Hmmm...

That's a little confusing there, so here's the link to BBCode formatting as well.

I know that my pending credit has really grown over the last 3 or 4 months. I'm up to about 20,000 credits pending. I've never seen it that high. 3,000 was about the highest I would carry.
