I've built BOINC and setiathome and everything appears to be set up right (i.e. I have a app_info.xml).

I get this:

24-Sep-2007 13:18:39 [SETI@home] Requesting 30240 seconds of new work
24-Sep-2007 13:18:44 [SETI@home] Scheduler RPC succeeded [server version 511]
24-Sep-2007 13:18:44 [SETI@home] Message from server: No work sent
24-Sep-2007 13:18:44 [SETI@home] Deferring communication for 2 min 27 sec
24-Sep-2007 13:18:44 [SETI@home] Reason: no work from project

I got work for a client on an officially supported
platform recently, so I don't think it's that there are no work units available.

This is happening to instances on NetBSD/i386 and NetBSD/amd64.

Here's app_info.xml:

<app_info>
<app>
<name>setiathome</name>
</app>
<file_info>
<name>setiathome-5.27.x86_64-pc-netbsd5</name>
<executable/>
</file_info>
<app_version>
<app_name>setiathome</app_name>

<file_name>setiathome-5.27.x86_64-pc-netbsd5</file_name>
<main_program/>
</file_ref>
</app_version>
</app_info>

Jakllsch:

Change these tags in your app_info.xml file:
<name>setiathome_enhanced</name>

<app_name>setiathome_enhanced</app_name>

If that doesn't work, get the latest FreeBSD port here (and fix their broken app_info.xml file):

Yup, that '_enhanced' was all it took, thanks.
