Yes I think that at least 40% of the deaths are caused by pollution. Many sicknesses & malnutrition leading to death directly through pollution which causes dying forests, steppization, poisoned water, poisoned soil... then the overfishing, extermination of animals, "standardization" of crop and food, mono-culture - all processes which lead to ever more malnutrition, undernourishment and more sicknesses, even starving in some countries.

Since pollution only causes 40% of Global Deaths, shouldn't we be looking into the other 60%? After all, that's 20% more. ;)
Hopefully the cosmos is not trying to reverse the charges.

I think the point is that we do... Think how much money is spent on scientific programs aiming to cure cancer or AIDS. Now compare that to how much is spent on pollution reduction.

Probably depends on what you define as pollution. Smoke from people smoking can cause cancer in someone else who has never smoked (chances are usually low). Does this smoke count as pollution? Smokers would probably say no, others yes.

See the problem. Different views and plenty of arguing. After all, the governments still have not all agreed on what to do about pollution because they have different views and one country doesn't want to bear the cost of reform unless others do as well.

Never surrender and never give up. In the darkest hour there is always hope.

This man's point has been under valued. Do you not see the logic in his postings?
