Hi.
I downloaded boinc and attached it to the SETI@home project.
Now I want my computer to start proccessing data, but it doesn't download any work.
In the tasks and transfer tags there are no tasks.

Any help will be much appriciated.

SETI's splitters are off for the weekend. There will be no work until they're turned back on.

SETI has never promised to keep a steady supply of work. There are lists of other BOINC projects that you can attach to in addition to SETI here, here, and here as well as other places. You can join a couple of other BOINC projects to keep your CPUs warm. You can even specify what fraction of the time to spend on each.

Well ,
you will never catch an alien if your not patient. That's for sure. Seti will be back on soon I'm sure of it. Go do something this weekend. Get out of the house. Take a break .Wow these people really get attached to Seti like a drug. Oh no I think it's happening to me too !

I havent had any work since it must have went down sometime thursday night late or early friday morning in the wee hours while I was sleeping.
Friday morning all my stuff was done and no more since. Only 3 pendings in the wait.
Just be patient. Maybe next time you will have more work than you care to do.

I'm seeing a similar problem. I installed BOINC and attached to three projects. None are downloading any work. This is Debian Linux running on an Alpha processor, which appears to be "Unknown" for some reason. Is that why nothing is being downloaded? Here are some sample messages:
