http://www.news.com.au/story/0,23599,22377829-2,00.html Gee, the response of the police sounds a lot like the response of the Boston police during the whole Moonite debacle. Hopefully the cosmos is not trying to reverse the charges. Moderation in all things. |

Think the police are more than a little embarrassed that they weren't stopped sooner. Expect them to come down hard and set an example. Kolch - Crunching for the BOINC@Australia team since July 2004. Search for your own intelligence... |

As I saw there's a poll what the punishment for these pranksters should be, I voted for "Nothing" - and was surprised that 53% of the participants had the same opinion :) Account frozen... |

They are popular but that shouldnt exlude them from punishment. The excuse that they expected to be stopped doesn't work either as they should have realised that they were entering a restriced area without reason. The excuse that they expected to be stopped doesn't work either as they should have realised that they were entering a restriced area without reason. Oh, they had a reason. A very good one, I might add. Think of them as kind of a 'secret shopper'. "We have every safeguard possible in place." "We're not sure how they got through." "Oh, bugger!" Hopefully the cosmos is not trying to reverse the charges. Moderation in all things. |

Yes but using that as an excuse doesnt prevent them from being punishable. Al-qaeda attacks against america only served to highlight the security weaknesses on domestic flights. Doesn't cut it as an excuse. Kolch - Crunching for the BOINC@Australia team since July 2004. Search for your own intelligence... |

The excuse that they expected to be stopped doesn't work either as they should have realised that they were entering a restricted area without reason. Well, the area was restricted without reason as well, as was Heiligendamm (Germany), as was other such places... Just the usual absurd Paranoia of politicians with a guilty conscience. The report is that they were arrested out the front of the US presidents hotel. That would obviously be a restricted area in any city. Kolch - Crunching for the BOINC@Australia team since July 2004. Search for your own intelligence... |

The report is that they were arrested out the front of the US presidents hotel. That would obviously be a restricted area in any city. Why? People visit and walk by the White House every day. Hopefully the cosmos is not trying to reverse the charges. Moderation in all things. |

The report is that they were arrested out the front of the US presidents hotel. That would obviously be a restricted area in any city. As opposed to the snipers at the hotel? Hopefully the cosmos is not trying to reverse the charges. Moderation in all things. |

You really can't blame the security services of either country... ...after all, there are millions of people who would like to see him dead. I myself do not...then we'd have President Chenney.
