I changed from Nicaragua to Bolivia and so changed as well my computers and my mail. As i did not work on Seti during nearly a year but am intrested to come back how can i get my old account from Nikaragua transfered to my new account in Bolivia.

You can update your country yourself. Follow the links to "YOUR ACCOUNT" (in the top banner of the page you are reading), then "other account info" and you will be able to update it.

The account he is posting with is labeled Bolivia and has no credit, so:

1) Log out of this account. I will call this account the new account.
2) Log into the old account (just to make certain that you can).
If you can do step #2, then proceed, otherwise, you are stuck.
3) Log out of the old account.
4) Log into the new account.
5) Change the email address to garbage.
6) Log out of the new account.
7) Log into the old account.
8) Change the email address and other information.

Good. You got to step 2. Step 5 has you changing the email in the new account to some bogus email address.

Tried what you suggested but now the old account disapeared and the new one is a mix and i do not show up in anay statistics, maybe now i am crunching in nowhere land or in outer space. Well will see in a few days when the stats are updated then maybe i show up. If not i think have to start all over again and take the accumulated as lost. Thats live

OK, you can always log in to whatever account your hosts are actually using by logging in using the authenticator. It is between the <authenticator> and </authenticator> marks in the account_setiathome.berkeley.edu.xml file.

If you followed the instructions carefully, the old account should have the new email address and the new account should have garbage in the email address.

When I try to enter my old account which was " biomasa@ibw.com.ni" with the password "Leicas"
then i get : " no account found with email adress biomasa@ibw.com.ni
When i still could acsess the old account i changed the email adress to "nfoidl@desa.com.bo" with the password "leicas" and if i enter this one I get my actual accout or new account. Account name in both cases is Nikolaus. ( Nicaragua as so in Bolivia)Since nearly 12 hours I can not get work now from seti.regards Nikolaus

Until now i did all you suggested and i am stuck now with both accounts in Bolivia, the new one works and the old one just stays there( aswell in Bolivia) Somehow managed to have both accounts on the same mail adress!!! although you tell me its not possible and on the same password. Somebody who really knows how this programm of Seti works can solve this mess? I would hate to loose several years of work( 106.000 credits).no insults intendet and still thanks john for trying.

What is going on in your university , are you really thinking that censureship of posts just because they are uncovering that your systems has flaws is making the things better. Is your headquarter in china or does still freedom of speach apply. Please behave grown up and stop censuring like in a dictature and please spend your time in comming up with solutions to real problems. As i did not offend you nor did use unfit language ther is no reason to censure me. The problem does not go away if you just wipe out the question.

What is going on in your university , are you really thinking that censureship of posts just because they are uncovering that your systems has flaws is making the things better. Is your headquarter in china or does still freedom of speach apply. Please behave grown up and stop censuring like in a dictature and please spend your time in comming up with solutions to real problems. As i did not offend you nor did use unfit language ther is no reason to censure me. The problem does not go away if you just wipe out the question.
I am still waiting for an answer and dont dare to censure me again.

I am the moderator that deleted your double posts. No information was censored or lost as I left at least one of the original posts. If you look back through the thread, you will see your post is still there. I simply did clean up of the copies of posts, probably due to you hitting "post reply" multiple times.

Since you are in the market for making demands, in the future, please do not dare to compare our moderation with censorship and/or dictatorships.
