Personally it worries me that Guantánamo exists and that, even if the US calls itself a constitutional state, keeping people locked up for years without trial is possible by "bending" the law. Even though it soulds like a good thing, the step towards the average guy living in a dictatorship is IMHO not as large as you'd guess. It's all about bending the law, suddenly YOU can't speak up freely anymore. Suddenly YOU are tortured in a questioning, to reveal your (nonexistant) accomplices just because your neighbor does not like you or you have stepped on someones toes with some influence or you are simply at the wrong time at the wrong place or post your thoughts in a forum.

I just wonder how this will end - fear is a good way to keep people under control.
