I remember reading a while ago that data collection from Arecibo (or a different telescope) was going to re-start this year, and that the experiemtn would be crunching 'new data' from sometime this year. I keep looking at the splitter status (about every month) and notice that the age of the data being processed is still from around the Year 2000. Is there any update on when new data will be available to be crunched?

The Multi Beam Splitters are up and running. They have been running for several weeks now (coinciding with the start of the download problems).

Currently the SPLITTER data is only showing the TAPE splits. They still need to update the page to show the Hard Drive splits. If you look, there are a lot of MB Splitters (Multi-Beam), which is data from last and this year. Those are the ones running most of the time. If you look at the data people are crunching, you see a lot of 2007, data. Hit on anyone's name who is currently got a decent RAC, and then look at their results for proof.

Even the old stuff was backlogged data that had never been processed before.

For some reason the data servers are having trouble.
