I was looking at the Certificates link on the main page, and there is an option to "link your account to your classic account". When I tried this, I get the error message "This e-mail address (xxxx@hotmail.com) belongs to an active BOINC account. " Do I need to disable my old account somehow? I have 78,786 hours of SETI classic that I'd like to link to my new account. Thanks. |

I read that message as saying that your SETIclassic account is already assigned to a BOINC account. Have you used another account BOINC, in the past. SL |

I was looking at the Certificates link on the main page, and there is an option to "link your account to your classic account". When I tried this, I get the error message "This e-mail address (xxxx@hotmail.com) belongs to an active BOINC account. " You are allowed to link to a Classic account exactly once. The classic credits are not added to your BOINC totals, but noted on your account page. You can either use the account with the old email address, or you can use the one with the new email address, but you cannot merge the two. With 98K BOINC Credits for S@H, you might really consider staying with the new account. BOINC WIKI |

Yep - I already associated a different BOINC account with the old Classic account. The error message makes sense now. I'll stick with my new BOINC account. Thanks for the quick response. |
