Are these students and parents human beings or mimosas? I don't know, many of these would cry out loud after ONE day in my childhood. Would they even survive that?

Oh yes, I remember that story. Seems to me that the school board should have told the parents "Sounds like a personal problem to me." and been done with it.

Is it 'politically correct' to talk about 'political correctness'? ;)

Probably not. :)

Personally, I think this "Political Correctness" is just BS.
Normal politeness and mutual respect are enough for everything. But this "PC" is just exaggerating it.

Sen. Craig has a "wide stance" on what is politically correct. ;)

With the current compensation culture, it is quite possible that a parent could sue the school because one of their little dears had been "traumatised" by being chased. They would probably win, and to gain financial recompense, the school governors would in turn sue the head, for allowing it to happen.

We have the same thing in the UK with 3 legged races banned on school sports days, in case a child breaks their ankle. Councils are chopping down trees in the street in case someone sues them for slipping on wet leaves and hurting themselves.

The insurance companies will not insure against these activities, greedy lawyers take advantage, greedy people cash in.

edit - If more judges threw out these fatuous cases we might get somewhere, in the meantime welcome to the modern world.

Here's a thought...our parents created it.

Our parents earned it. The current generation expects it sans the work.

Our parents earned it.

The only generation to actually 'earn' anything is either of very old age or is no longer with us... They passed their wealth on to their offspring on a silver platter only to have it foolishly squandered away... Now that generation is overworking and underpaying a new generation that simply doesn't know any better...

Just my two pennies... ;)

Wow. Uncle Ted talking sense brought the thread to a screeching halt.

Guess you all weren't as worried about " political incorrectness " as the thread title would have indicated...

Sorry, I didn't even view the video. I can't listen to Ted anymore because I am tired of the same old song everytime. Certain people should never be allowed to have guns no matter what the 2nd amendment says (Ted not included. He knows how to handle them). Both sides of the gun control debate have bored me to death.

The first one was about Illegal Immigration....not gun control.

That's ok though. No worries.
