Situation was as decribed in the header: while I was updating project, I got several virus warnings from the NAV Real time protection. Two viruses have been detected : Korgo and a Spybot.worm . It may be coincindence, but who knows. Please note, there were no upload / download operations in progress. So: 1.) Did anybody encounter the same thing? 2.) Is it technically possible that viruses are spread by boinc servers. Regards uba34 |

Ulli, the viruses have not been detected in WU's. As I said (better: wrote) , there was not a single download in process. The infected files were "bling.exe" and "ftpupd.exe". I have no idea for what bling is good for, but I guess ftpupd may have something to do with file transfer protokoll. |

Norton, Spybot and Adaware found nothing but the usual suspects, tracking bots, all clean now..... |
