Hi Folks,

Is it normal for 4 to 6 instances of seti to be running on a single cpu/single core linux based system? All of my linux systems are running many instances of the 5.27 version of seti and there doesn't seem to be any way to control this. Is this a design change or a problem?

Are you sure all instances are running (not just consuming RAM but CPU resources too)? It is quite usual for a WU to be paused to allow a different one to be processed, and this can happen many times depending on different factors.

Otherwise, no. It is not normal for multiple instances to be running on a single CPU system.
