Hi, I am trying to run seti@home on my HP Proliant ML570 server, with quad 2.0GHz Xeon MP processors.

When I look at the state, I am not doing any work and I get the following message:

======== Projects ========
1) -----------
name: SETI@home
master URL: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/
user_name: dieselfuelonly
team_name: dieselpower
resource share: 100.000000
user_total_credit: 0.000000
user_expavg_credit: 0.000000
host_total_credit: 0.000000
host_expavg_credit: 0.000000
[b]nrpc_failures: 8[b]
master_fetch_failures: 0
master fetch pending: no
scheduler RPC pending: no
attached via Account Manager: no
tentative: no
suspended via GUI: no
don't request more work: no
disk usage: 0.000000

What does the line in bold mean? Is that what is causing me to not get any work? Thanks!

Dennis

nrpc_failures means number of Remote Procedure Call failures. It's either one of two things: Either BOINC has lost communication with BOINCMGR, or BOINC cannot communicate with the project. Restarting your machine and BOINCMGR should fix it. Also, try the Advanced View, Activity menu, Network Always Available and Always Run to see if that helps.
