http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z4XEQVnIFmQ That was cool (no pun intended)! The amazing thing is that little or no power is needed to create forward motion. Just flip the super conductor after the magnet passes and it will push it away. Not a whole lot of power needed for that. One of the metals that I work with is Yttrium. It might be possible to create a form of the compound that would not need supercooling. Hopefully the cosmos is not trying to reverse the charges. Moderation in all things. |
