I have been keeping SETI@Home and CPDN in seperate tabs in Mozilla and working between the two. I have discovered that after some time of inactivity (at least here) I have to re-log back in. Evidently there is a timeout of sorts on the login. Hmmmm, I'm going to see what happens over at CPDN now since I have been here for quite a while and inactive over there. Actually it seems logical to have a timeout. If you forget to logout when leaving, the system will automatically do it for you. L8R.... --- EDIT: What's with the broken sig graphics links? I just left a post in another thread and they worked there. I left this one before the other and they didn't work. I'm also having problems with them on CPDN. My sig there is identicle to this one. Another new discovery also: the number of posts in "Your account" is not updated if a new post is added. Greetings from Belgium. |

> a bit off topic but what is mozilla > > Hi! Mozilla is a web browser that is NOT Microsoft. I refuse to use Internet Explorer (IE). IE has nothing in it. Mozilla has an e-mail client, IM, tabbed browsing (seperate web pages in a seperate tab), etc. IE is simply a browser, and I guess Microsoft finally got smart and added tabbed browsing. The version of Mozilla I have is v1.7.2 just in case you may be interested in getting it. Oh, it's FREE by the way. You have to buy Windows to get IE. Its a long time since I played with anything other than IE (for surfing anyway) and having read this thread I thought what the hell and had a go at Mozilla. I'm only a few minutes into using it and I have multiple tabs etc etcbut the most outstanding thing is the speed. Pages load instantly (or very quickly). It makes IE look like its going backwards. I think I'm converted already!! thank you all for the pointer Neil |

Lets go back to the subjects if you don't mind. @ bfarrant did you notice you have on your account data only 103 posts? @ MLCudd, only 195 @ Angstrom, only 142 @ Siran of Vulcan, only 164 These number does not correspond to your actual numbers of posts. The problem seems to came up after the change of the forum design (Avatar and so on). |

But, on the other hand, it matters less to me than anything else. Santa can keep that feature if he will give me back the abilities to see results and pending credits for my Christmas present. |

Agree with you it is not important at all. On the other hand, people at Berkeley need to know some code is wrong. If they don't see it, other projects like LHC, once they make the change to the new code will have the same problem. And, very probably a lot of other projects will follow. Better to cure it first here and bring it over to others afterwards. |

No problem, you're quite welcome. I don't mind perv oops converting someone now and then. I've not used IE much at all, so I don't know how they compare except with what's in Mozilla and NOT in IE. I actually started surfing with Netscape and then last year discovered Mozilla and haven't been back since. Enjoy! L8R.... --- Rick A. - BOINCing right along now.... It can only get better! </p> |
