Message 609788 - Posted: 27 Jul 2007, 15:13:19 UTC - in response to Message 608926.

I'm not getting any new work either version 5.10.13 It will submit completed tasks, but won't send me new ones to work on. There is one thing I noticed in messages. Will try to cut and paste. The other thing under account info. I set it to request 10 days of work. Now not getting nothing. Under older version no problems.

Thanks for any help

Seeing all messages will really help to understand what's going on in your system. Giving a single message is like giving a single line of dialog in a conversation: it means nothing unless you know what's going on around it.

Also, increasing your cache to 10 days can have the opposite effect that what you desired. If your computer loads up on workunits, this can send BOINC into a "panic" mode where it thinks it can't finish all the work on time. Once BOINC panics, it will refuse to download more work until it has completed what it has on it's plate before it goes up for seconds. It's best to leave the cache at 2 days maximum to avoid making BOINC panic.
