I'm getting an error message saying that Project does not support screensaver graphics. After seeing this I updated to latest SETI software for Mac, but I still get the error. Is there no longer a screensaver ? |

I'm getting the exact same thing. The Einstein project works fine. |

I'm having the same issue. I also refreshed BOINC and reconnected to the project but the error continues. |

I'm having the same issue. I also refreshed BOINC and reconnected to the project but the error continues. Moi, aussi. I shut down my BOINC, shut down my 10.4.10 MacOS, re-booted, and now my BOINC/SETI messages file is full of: Thu Jul 19 16:29:47 2007||Starting BOINC client version 5.8.17 for powerpc-apple-darwin Thu Jul 19 16:29:47 2007||log flags: task, file_xfer, sched_ops Thu Jul 19 16:29:47 2007||Libraries: libcurl/7.15.5 OpenSSL/0.9.7l zlib/1.2.3 Thu Jul 19 16:29:47 2007||Data directory: /Library/Application Support/BOINC Data Thu Jul 19 16:29:47 2007||Processor: 1 Power Macintosh Power Macintosh [Power Macintosh Model PowerBook5,6] [AltiVec] Thu Jul 19 16:29:47 2007||Memory: 512.00 MB physical, 21.67 GB virtual Thu Jul 19 16:29:47 2007||Disk: 93.15 GB total, 21.42 GB free Thu Jul 19 16:29:47 2007|SETI@home|URL: http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/; Computer ID: 2820257; location: (none); project prefs: default Thu Jul 19 16:29:48 2007||General prefs: from SETI@home (last modified 2007-05-20 17:23:56) Thu Jul 19 16:29:48 2007||Host location: none Thu Jul 19 16:29:48 2007||General prefs: using your defaults Thu Jul 19 16:29:48 2007||Reading preferences override file Thu Jul 19 16:29:49 2007|SETI@home|Restarting task 04jn00aa.20188.17537.186078.3.115_0 using setiathome_enhanced version 521 Thu Jul 19 16:29:51 2007|SETI@home|Task 04jn00aa.20188.17537.186078.3.115_0 exited with zero status but no 'finished' file Thu Jul 19 16:29:51 2007|SETI@home|If this happens repeatedly you may need to reset the project. Seeing the same thing here on multiple machines. Is it a problem with the Seti servers? It happened all of a sudden a couple of days ago. I haven't tried to troubleshoot it yet. |

After posting that extract of error message logging, I got to thinking. I did a Software Update about two days ago, not long before the problem appeared. And one of the things that MacOS wanted to update was QuickTime. I wonder if Apple moved some entrypoints around or dropped some "obsolete" ones that BOINC/SETI were using? |
