Does anyone know how much a Gflop of computing power costs these days?
And what do programmers actually write their code in?

Ok. So here for your enjoyment is the same question you asked in the Politics Forum.

[quote]And aren't we supposed to be looking for SETI? Not talking about < computers >?

Just because you aren't interested in politics, doesn't mean that it shouldn't be discussed on the Seti Forums.

I have no interest in turning my computer into a Super Crunching God Like machine.

Does that mean that I think this forum doesn't belong??? Nope.
