I have 2 accounts.

I see one of them created 1999, one of them 2001.

2001 has classic seti work points.

1999 has not.

I want 1999 as starting date, and has seti works.

Total points, or total work done not important.

Only want to see starting date correct and classic seti work done.

Now I cannot decide which one to continue.

I know they don't combine accounts for any reason, but since you have pretty concrete evidence that you started earlier, perhaps the head Admin (Eric Korpela) could manually modify the date of your Classic-tied account.

I don't have his email handy, perhaps someone else does.

Just remember, Eric is a very busy man and he may not get to your email for quite a few days - and it's simply a request in the first place, so don't make it a demand, and be patient! :-)

The April 3, 1999 date isn't correct anyway. There was an error moving some classic accts to boinc. Many people have that error. I don't know if it will be able to merge the accounts. If not I'd keep the one with the most credit.
