"Prelink" is not a SETI@Home related file. You may want to check the other software you are running. No, I don't have other software running. Anyway, just made a google search on "what is prelink" and found one of this view in a discussion forum "These seem to be real resource hogs, and more annoying, they seem to fire off right after you install Fedora. So right when you're trying to get your system setup, prelink comes along and takes 99% of the cpu." So it seem like I shouldn't run Bionic on my Linux laptop(centrino DUO), because if running Bionic (which using one CPU at 100%) the prelink fire off and using the other CPU at 100%. It is going to burn the mainboard/CPU again. Anyway I still have another laptop which doesn't have overheating problem even runnig both CPU at 100%. I also run Bionic at home desktop. |
