Hi

I have a new Mac and am not set up to participate w/SETI. My old defunct Mac was set up but is now in the landfill :0(

I've downloaded BOINC and SKYPE but don't know how to proceed. I've emailed volunteer assistants with no replies. I'd LOVE to do this via Skype and learn two things at once!

Sorry I'm not very technical, but I'd really love to participate if someone can lead me through it.

Thanks!

The installation is quite easy :
- Download the BOINC client from boinc.berekeley.edu/download.php
- Double click on the downloaded BOINC client to start the installer.
- Ask the installer questions (simliar to the MacOS Installer)
- After the installation, the BOINC Manager would pop up and offers you a installation dialog.
- Enter the SETI project URL (setiathome.berkeley.edu)
- select existing account and enter your email and password there.

After a successfull installation, the BOINC client attachs to the SETI project and download the science application and some WUs.

There is also a howto at the BOINC wiki which describes the steps above more detailed and with screenshots :
