I've installed boinc, activated my account, and downloaded the program and a work unit. Boinc shows SETI@home in the projects list and its status is listed as "ready to run," but it hasn't started yet. It's been sitting this way for some time now. I'm running climateprediction.net as well, and that's working fine. Any ideas?

Found the answer in a previous post... BOINC would only run one program at a time. I killed climateprediction and SETI started right up.

I thought the point of BONIC was the ability to run multiple programs ? I've got the exact same problem. Seti wont start with CP also running.

I'm running BONIC 4.05.

They should start switching about once an hour fairly quickly. There is a bug that is supposed to be fixed in 4.09 where the new project would be delayed for quite a while as the old project had somehow built up a large debt.

I have been using the "old" SETI for some time and just downloaded this new BOINC version. I am not really sure I understand how this thing works. I too have two items that say "Ready to Run" but nothing is happening. I also dont see how I add myself to my Starfleet Command Q1 group.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kim
