I've successfully built and installed the BOINC client on my gentoo-linux Alpha system. But it appears that the alpha-linux is not going to be a supported platform?

Logs from the boinc-client:

alpha-omega boinc # boinc_client

You have to compile the seti client for boinc too and the create an file called app_info.xml wich should contain something like that:

look here http://quit.homelinux.org/app_info.xml.txt

I already did it on my Gentoo AlphaDS10 and it works

I´ve forgotten to say that you have to "patch" a file called xml_util.h to compile
the core client.
You can get it from here
ftp://quit.homelinux.org (Seti_Client_Patch)

Can someone provide me with the patched boinc core client and setiathome source so I can compile this with the Compaq C compiler on an EV6 please? The FTP server previously referred to is no longer available.

If you wan't, it is posible to add a link to your webpage with your compiled clients, to the third party site (http://boinc.berkeley.edu/download_other.php).
Please contact me via email (seti-boinc@dotsch.de), that I can report the link to the boinc project team for adding.
