I am impressed by the diversity of team names that are out there. I was wondering what some of them mean or how they came about, maybe some of their history with distributed computing or other online initiatives. Would any founders of the top teams like to comment?

Hi, I member of Ad Astra With SETI.
This name means: To the stars with SETI !

We are a german group of sience(-fiction)-interested people. The main idea we believe at, is, that most of sience-related fiction becomes reality! Try together with us to find an answer of the question: "Is there any intelligence life on earth?"

My group is called, 'Jaaku & Co reach for the stars and beyond ...' in a sense that is what we are doing .. kinda :)

Hey!

My group is Project Blue Book .. just randomly chosen at the spur of the moment.. Happens that a co-founder and I are both sons of U.S. Air Force parents .. so it fit.

Almost went with "White Noise Analysis" .. yo! there is one of those!

We've been a team since Sept 1999 .. so we're hitting five years!!
