To clarify: Everyone, not just Technutopia team members can use this signature. It moved and a few options have been added. Feel free to participate in the design/layout/development of these 'free' to use forum signatures at the Technutopia Boinc forum. Your suggestions are appreciated.

The host and path have been shortened. Click on Fonts to see which ones you might want to use. Size is two digit decimal. Color is 12 digit hex. Fonts are case sensitive, order is mandatory, and any other variations will result in unpredictable results.

Hmm....I'm really not technical enough to make any really good suggestions on how to fix them. Our team had some that were made by a team mate and they wound up being too tall as well.

I do like the scrolling one that shows the projects though. It would be kinda cool to find a way to incoporate that into our team sigs.

I'm working on the 'full' signature now, here's a prototype



Since the font and font size are selectable, some people might be able to keep it small enough to keep under their forums' max signature size. This prototype was done with MS paint and is pending 'review' in our Boinc forum. It replaces the sideways signature which has been modified now to just be a tall list w/poor formatting. The credits will be right aligned, projects left aligned, and the rows will have an even height (alignment).

I doubt that the code I have will be helpful for your team logo as it's been designed around the limitations that the service provider has for the server.

One thought I had was allow anyone to include their team logo as provided by the team entries (team leader sets those), but I haven't started the 'Team' logos and/or stats yet. I think those signatures will prove popular. The trick is including the 'Technutopia.Com' graphic w/out too much distraction. You might want to put your 2 cents worth in before that part of the project starts--suggestions, etc., should be posted in our Technutopia Boinc sub-forum. I hope to hear from you there.

Are those stats still linked through Synergy for your team, or did you come up with you own stats keeping system??

Just curious.

Our own--the signatures stats are from each of the projects' user.gz files (currently 36 projects are included). I had asked Willy at BoincStats.com to use his stats, but I didn't receive a reply, so I'm collecting them all. Right now it's a manual process, once or twice a day.

There's code for stats sites now. Have your site admin check it out. I'll most likely use their aggregate stats to reduce the load on the individual projects, might even just use their single user stats and drop maintaining a local DB.

Strange as it might seem, I didn't find any sites mirroring the projects' stat files. It's ~500mb for the projects I've found. I just need to add some checks that the files are valid. Also, once I'm done with the initial development, I'll post the code. Somebody else might want to do something like what I'm doing. Good luck on your own project.
