i downloaded boinc a few days ago primarily to do seti

unfortunately seti was down so i also start doing climateprediction - now seti is back up it will only crunch climate prediction even though current percentages are climate prediction 0.99% set 99.01% (1-100 ratio)

how can i get this time splitting to work

First, you need to be careful about the split. If you go beyond a deadline, you will not get credit for the work. Be a shame to use several thousand hours of computer time and get no credit for it. 90-10 may be a bit better choice so that you actually complete the CPDN result before the deadline.

That said, the time splitting is done on an hourly basis. About once an hour BOINC switches between projects.

At the moment with multiple projects you need to change the setting for leave WUs in memory when prempted to yes. After you update settings on a web site, you either have to update BOINC from that project, or be patient and wait for BOINC to do it on its own. (right click on the project).

the reason why the split is that way at the moment is to try and get the seti WU to begin working i'm going to shift it to something more sensible once i've figured out whats going on

currently the climatepredictor has been going for about 2-3 hours despite the fact that its on a 1-100 ratio and that's what i don't understand

Is the clock for CPDN counting? If not, stop and re-start BOINC. That should fix it for a few hours.

What is the state of the S@H WUs? If any are in a download failed state, you will have to reset S@H.
