Damn. I really need to pay more attention...lol

Sorry KM, The competition is held during Curling Week Celebrations. The winner is crowned at the annual Gala Dinner. (Kenora Dinner Jackets ONLY PLEASE!!) You would need to become a Team Member and show proper accreditation (Oh! and you gotta bring your own broom to the tourney!).

Well I'm still locked out of the forum. (A cruel twist of fate , I think.) But the crunching goes on!! MMMmm ... not at the moment with SETI but there are lots of other projects that Canada is working on. Check out the Oh Canada! Forum for a full listing (I think we are at 40+ active Projects!!). Buffalo Bill, Grizz and the whole gang would be happy to help you with any questions you may have about BOINC projects and joining them (and Canada!) is really easy.

It's Monday! Must be time for a new City!!

Curling is a GREAT game!! Pre and Post Curling are even better!
Here is a Flash Tutorial. Make sure to check out the "Commonly Played Shots" Tab.

Or try an online game. http://www.arcadevault.com/curling_2.html
Although you may want to shorten your Reaping robe befor playing fo real.

I actually watched ( kinda ) Curling when it was being broadcast during the last Olympics. I understand the idea, but I just can't get behind Shuffleboard on Ice. I think the only sport that should happen on the ice is HOCKEY!!!!

Now if there was hitting in Curling.....that would be interesting. lol

Pawly,

Thank you so much for the kind thought and words of encouragement over at the Team Genesis thread. I'm kicking myself in the butt just because you're not on our team. You're one heck of a motivator. All members on your team should be so proud of you. You're the man buddy!

Cheers

Dear Members of Team Canada,

In a recent chat I had with Pawly of your team, I slipped the idea of organizing a picnic for all Boincers. Needless to say, he immediately loved the idea. We thought that this would be fun and at the same time provide the opportunity for fellow Boincers to mix and mingle. At this point in time, we are only trying to find out how many people are interested in such an event.

The only problem we foresaw was the location of the picnic. We both agreed that this would have to be a centralized location so that it would be convenient for most of those attending the picnic. Therefore, he suggested that we should post on our forums and get feedback from our members. Pawly did not loose any time to post on Team Canada’s forum.

By means of this posting, I am doing the same for my team and all those Boincers interested in attending this social activity. Hence, my question to you is:

If you have to attend this picnic, what would be your preferred park location?

So please, kindly provide your feedback to us, even if you do not intend to attend. If we have enough input, we can do the math and come up with a tentative park for this picnic. I assure you that if this picnic takes place, it will be a fun filled day full of laughs and activities. If successful, this picnic will become an annual event for Boincers in Southern Ontario and hopefully, other Boincers nationwide will follow. Come on folks - Let's show those Boincers out there what Canadians are all about! Thank you in advance for your participation.

P.S. Anybody who would like to volunteer to help make this event a success, please do not hesiate to contact me. The more the merrier!

Cheers
