Hurray !!!! I'm from Ottawa - nice pic Pawly !!!! (fireworks)

That's the Rideau Canal (locks) beside Parliament Hill (East Block) and that little building is the Bytown Museum. I talk a lot about that Rideau Canal in my profile.

In the winter, it becomes the longest skating rink in the world 5 miles (8 km) (downtown to Carleton University @ Dow's lake)!!! And you can eat Beaver Tails during Winerlude. The Rideau canal is about 120 miles (200 km) long and goes all the way from Ottawa to Kingston, on lake ontario.

That river is the Ottawa river separating the Province of Ontario from the Province of Quebec. That bridge you see to the far upper right is the Alexendra bridge named for one of Queen Victoria's daughters. Beside the bridge is the Museum of Civilization which houses an Imax theatre.

The Rideau Canal was built by Colonel John By in the 1830's by mostly Irish labour, and Ottawa was first named Bytown after him until it was chosen by Queen Victoria as the Capital for the new Dominion of Canada in 1857 and then Confederation happened 10 years later July 1st, 1867 and thus Canada is now almost 140 years old - So there! History & geography lesson for today over Ha Ha bye :D !!

Hi Ratty!

Yeah, the site is down for maintenance (out of my control). If you have some ideas about graphics for the team then by all means, lay 'em on me! I'll try to think up some ideas myself but don't want to stifle yer creative ratty juices. ;^)

@ Pawly

Gotcha - I have some totally insane ideas heehee involving beavers, 2001 a space oddysey, colliding satellites, chocolate bars .... :D ! Hmmm .. your site's still down lol so I posted here again, sorry. Sometimes those free forum places can be a bit unreliable. But u know what, Pawly? I host my site for only $3.99/US month for a whopping 250 Gigs bandwidth and free mySql. If u can find a good forum template, just load it up into a mySql database ... and away ya go! Your uptime will be like 100%, and wicked fast all the time - just another wacky ratty techy idea heh - bye :D !!

Pawly, Calm Chaos had all kinds of reliability issues with that particular forum hosting service. Rick finally got so frustrated with it that he did what Ratty is suggesting you do. We now have almost 100% uptime. Actually, the only time it's actually been down is when Rick has been working on the forums.

I also think that you should seriously consider it. You are going to have nothing but bad times with that host you are on.

As far as the template, I am not sure what all Rick had to do, but what you see in our forums now is what we had right before the last move. :-)
