How about publishing the computing output, in a suitable form, with some analysis and/or comments from experienced astronomers/SETI scientists?

I believe this could prove be a useful way to educate the participants about the concept, the SETI/astronomical science and more importantly the outcome of what we are doing. This could bring a lot more motivation!

Thanks a lot for your response :) I've seen the page you referred to. But I was not talking about the system of workunits and credits earned, instead I was pointing towards the "findings" of the computations i.e. types of signals picked up, signals suspected to be generated by an extra-terrestrial intelligence and things like that, the scientific outcome I meant :)

This is on the "to do" list but money and more immediate "issues" keep cropping up. Like the server Kryten that has decided it no longer wants to be a part of the computing world! It seems to crash hourly and is being nursed along as the replacement is being readied. Details of the replacement are in this http://setiathome.berkeley.edu/forum_thread.php?id=36109 and other threads

See the postings from Matt Lebovsky in a fairly recent thread from the Staff Blog forum: So where's the science..?.
