Top host still belongs to an 8-core Mac Pro, so not all is lost ;o)

2.2B caught up a bit to the OS X apps, though there is of course more potential. OS X has the advantage here still (on equivalent hardware).

Right now, we're concentrating on something else, which is the next general release version, based off of (probably) SETI@Home 5.18 (doesn't exist yet).

Most of the code should be portable there, but it will require more work and testing.

The future is now, right :o)
Simon.

I don't think who? will catch or pass the top Mac Pro unless something else changes.
I have 2 Core 2 Duo systems that are reasonable hardware mirrors of each other. One is OC a bit more than the other and one ix running X64 the other is dual boot X64 and Vista. If you need tester, I will be happy to Oblige
When we finally figure it all out, all the rules will change and we can start all over again.

Well, that's the point. I believe he is currently running with the chicken app to establish a benchmark. *Then* he will switch to his own code, to see how much better (or worse...Who? knows?)

Let me know when you need those test runs, Simon!
