Since yesterday all my WU have been "Compute error" . Today I closed down boinc and rebooted, now it tells me Im over quota. whats up? Your hosts’s quota has been reduced because of the erroneous results it submitted. Don’t worry; each successful result returned will double the quota until it’s back up to the default level. A typical result shows Slightly. In brief, Apple’s default system configuration is stingy with shared memory, even on multiple-CPU systems that are shipped with ample RAM. BOINC needs a separate block of shared memory for exchanging data between the client and each instance of a science app (one for each folder in the slots directory). Adding another project probably pushed you over the limit. For a more detailed discussion—and a remedy—see Configuring Shared Memory on Mac OS X from the Pirates@home website. ____________ | |
