the BOINC manager does not recog my user e-dress...so I cannot access areas for questions/answers/threads/etc. What to do?

Have you gone into Your Account and set it to remember the settings? I think to remember is the default. You need to log in there and then it should remember you from then on. Although every once it in a while it forgets mine, so keep the info around.
