Has anyone done a bench on the % improvement these options provide on P4 and Athlon machines?

TIA

Message 22907 - Posted: 6 Sep 2004, 6:26:37 UTC - in response to Message 22896.

I did a quick test with the 2004-9-5 CVS.

On a mobile Barton core (221x10) with /G7 /arch:SSE (SSE2 is only on 64bit Athlons) I got a 2.547% increase in the Dhrystone benchmark and no significant change in the Whetstone benchmark. I ran 4 runs with each build and dropped the lowest score.

Does anyone know what SSE2 does or want to bench?
