Here is the place to collect users benchmarks. Just for fun and to compare different platform results for those seeking new machines. We know that these benchmarks are not platform specifics and sometimes off but still it could become a good data bank. I guess I have to go first. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ PRESARIO 2800 LAPTOP – P4M 1.4 GHZ 512 KB L2 – 400 MHZ FSB - 512 MB PC2100 DDR RAM 1 SETI WU average 6 hours 2004-09-05 10:12:46 - Running CPU benchmarks 2004-09-05 10:13:47 - Benchmark results: 2004-09-05 10:13:47 - Number of CPUs: 1 2004-09-05 10:13:47 - 871 double precision MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU 2004-09-05 10:13:47 - 1859 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU 2004-09-05 10:13:47 - Finished CPU benchmarks ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ eMAC 800 MHZ G4 256 KB L2 - 100 MHZ FSB - 768 MB SDRAM 375 double precision MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU 1200 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU 1 SETI WU average 10-11 hours ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ This could not be more on topic Friendly Marc -.-. --.- -.. -..- . - --... ...-- .-.-. -.- |

So far I am most impressed by Athlon and M pentium scores. It's a chance that Intel has Hyper Threading otherwise they would be lost behind completely by AMD. |

Tell me are they real ? I mean you must have merged at least 2-3 Power Mac G5 to get those numbers. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying your a liar, but it just seem a little to high to me. here is are real results for a dual G5; 10.3.4 Dual G5 2GHz 4Gb RAM 15:50:38 [---] Running CPU benchmarks 15:50:38 [---] Suspending computation and network activity running CPU benchmarks 15:51:40 [---] Benchmark results: 15:51:40 [---] Number of CPUs: 2 15:51:40 [---] 2395 double precision MIPS (Whetstone) per CPU 15:51:40 [---] 4560 integer MIPS (Dhrystone) per CPU 15:51:40 [---] Finished CPU benchmarks |

I am waiting for a Boinc4.20 G5 with altive enabled, i hope i have it in the next vew days. That's crazy or ? Zodi |
