This is a forum where the SETI@home staff can announce news and start discussions regarding the nitty-gritty technical details of our project. Only members of the SETI@home staff can start new threads. Hopefully there will be something of interest in here for those wondering what goes on "behind-the-scenes."

Archives of old technical news items (on a "flat" page) are located here.

This looks set to be an interesting forum, and a place where the team can keep us volunteers in the loop!

Congratulations for the forum, and the news (as it arrives) Matt!
It's good to be back amongst friends and colleagues

@Matt,

Any chance of finding out what discussions you all had about the BOINC User Survey Results.

Any surprises crop up?

Are you going to be, or have you started to, implement anything as a result of the survey?

Have the results confirmed anything in particular that you may have suspected?

How useful did you find the survey?

Will the survey be published in a paper, explaining the results and providing some conclusions/comments?

And many more questions on a similar vein.....

Thanks for keeping us informed and all your hard work!!! Could you check one item when you get some spare time (like that would ever happen)? Please look at the Number Crunching thread titled Stale Results for the information without having to rehash it here. Thanks

Missing Laptop Found in ET Hunt

Do you consider this to be “technical”? I don’t even think it’s “news” any more …
