I am running two projects via the Linux BOINC client: Setiathome 200 (66.67%) and CPDN 100 (33.33%). I have begun logging the output to a text file to look at the times the project swap over. On some of my systems, SETI is getting 2 hours, then CPDN 1 hour - sequentially. On a couple of my systems, SETI is geting 4-5 hours, and CPDN just 1 hour - again sequentially. I've done "-update_prefs" on the systems that aren't adhering to the 2:1 ratio....but it makes no difference. Anyone have any idea what's going on? |

I am not using Linux but I have noticed this in windows. I am monitoring my time splicing. I also have it set 100/200. What I think is happening on my system is that the timer resets itself when you shutdown the gui or a new work unit starts/finished. I'll be getting 1 hour/2 hours for a while then it seems to jump. I am still trying to track it down. |

Theory: I installed 4.06 two days ago....possibly when the CPDN workunits available were incorrect (as notified on that site) and it failed. I have re-set the CPDN project (again) today......and hope to see some time slicing later......maybe. |
