First post here I think, but might as well add me to the May 1999 list... Numbers aren't that great; was on and off for a while. But my new Core 2 Duo 6700 should help a little. ;) Since 18 May 1999 New Core 2 Duo should help a little ;) |

Numbers aren't that great; was on and off for a while. But my new Core 2 Duo 6700 should help a little. ;) Yeah, I was right, but didn't expect it to be this much better...! My old Athlon XP (1.66 GHz, 1GB) machine is taking about 10+ hours/work unit The Core 2 Duo 6700 (2.66 GHz, 2GB) is doing two at a time at about 2<3 hours/work unit -- and I haven't even overclocked at all yet. :) Since 18 May 1999 New Core 2 Duo should help a little ;) |

SETI@home member since 22 Sep 1999 [I wonder if it was AM or PM?] Maybe I should check if the application is still running? I started with one client. Now 7+ years later have 7 clients in 4 different cities. That may not be much, but at least it is linear :) SETI@home since 1999 "Set it, and Forget it!" |
