Just looked at Willy's BOINCStats and it shows that there are over 1300 of us that signed up on May 18, 1999 that have earned credits in the last month. I assume there could actually be more as some may have re-joined and not joined up the accounts. Andy |

August 6th for me. Sorry about the double post. I stuck it out until the bitter end as well and managed a paladrome in classic wu's to finish. Took me a few months before I realized the significance of that. SETI@home classic workunits 17,271 SETI@home classic CPU time 117,488 hours |

May 14th will be my 7th birthday. Just me and my Mac(s)(one at at time) crunching through all the years. Can't see a reason to stop! Sedge if by chance an honest man like yourself were to make enemies, they would become my enemies. and then they will fear you. |

I don't know what happened earlier but somehow I got a bunch of duplicate messages sent in. I edited the latest one to include the information I was trying to post and have been looking for a way to delete the duplicates. I got a message that one of the moderators had deleted 1... Can you please delete the others or tell me how to either delete it myself or cancel the post? Message #'s are 496634 and 496635 Thanks for any help.. Arion |

Today I joined the seven-and-a-half year club - as did one of my machines. Host 1883631 joined Classic the same day I did, and crunched right through to the end: the join date you see is the date I acted on the 'classic closedown' messages and switched it to BOINC instead. I think I'll probably retire it sometime this year, though: possibly on the eighth birthday? Edit - Hey, I'm a volunteer tester! That was quick (thanks Eric) - I only joined yesterday, after the outage was sorted out, and as you can see BOINC Synergy hasn't noticed yet... |

I'm glad to see there are a lot of May 99'rs still crunching after all these years. And I'm yet another: SETI@home member since 22 May 1999! It was my brother who tipped me off, and I've been (reasonably...) faithful to SETI@home ever since. Two rigs running now (one decent, one oldish), and one previous (steam-age) retired several yars ago. |

June 1st here. What a lovely gathering of old timers. ;) /Mav We have lingered long enough on the shores of the cosmic ocean. We are ready at last to set sail for the stars. (Carl Sagan) |

Cripes, just realised I'm in the 7 year club too....29th July 1999! The PC's been upgraded a few times in the meantime though: Celeron 333 > Athlon 1300 > Athlon XP2100+ > Athlon64 3400+. Now, if only I had a couple of spare power sockets so I could fire up another machine of two.... :-) TTFN - Pete. |
